Lynn Askew

Lynn Barnes Askew, 65, of Wilson, died Monday, September 14, 2020.

Funeral, Saturday, 2:00 PM, Evergreen Memorial Park. The Rev. Laura Fine Ledford will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Ray and Thelma Bradbury Barnes; brother, Donald Ray Barnes. A former ultrasonographer and radiology instructor, she was retired from Edgecombe Community College.

Lynn - “GiGi” - is survived by her husband, Phil Askew; daughter, Dr. Emily Askew and her husband, Scott Lovett, of Wilson; grandchildren, Sam and Addison Lovett; sister, Diane Smith (Marvin) of Wilson and their children, Rhonda and Heather; brother, Jimmy Barnes; several cousins, including Kim Hartley (Herb) and their children, Maggie and Elizabeth.
