Lynn Cash

Lynn Cash, 54, of Knightdale passed away, Saturday, March 30th in an automobile accident alongside her wife and life partner of 12 years, Sherry Joyner.

A Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, April 13, 2024, 3:00 PM, at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr N, Wilson, followed by visitation.

She and Sherry recently relocated to Wesley Chapel, FL and lived with her brother Tony Cash. She was known as a kind and loving person with a beautiful soul. Although slightly shy, she had a wonderful sense of humor.  She cared for her family and friends and was loved for it in return. Although she had no biological children of her own, in meeting Sherry, she gained two daughters and a son that she loved as her own. As a result of this love, she was also known as Grandma Lynn to three beautiful grandchildren. She fiercely loved and took care of her now late dogs, Roxie and Paisley.

She was born in Charlotte, NC. Her family later relocated to Dallas, NC where she attended Junior High School and North Gaston High School.  She later graduated with a bachelor's degree at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.  After obtaining her degree, Lynn pursued and obtained a certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and worked in that field for many years. She continued working in healthcare as a patient care advocate in which she gave love and companionship to elderly family members of the families she cared for.

Lynn is survived by her brother, Tony Cash of Wesley Chapel ,FL; children, Jamie Evans (Matthew) of Greenville, Dylan Joyner of Raleigh, and Chelsea Coraggio (Cory) of Everett,WA; father, Jerry Cash of SC; stepfather, Donald Oglesby of NC; grandchildren, Olivia, Weston and Ryder Coraggio of Everett, WA; nephew, Bradley Cash of FL; niece, Kylie Cash of FL; sister-in-law, Rhonda Cash of FL; her best friend, Veronica, and her grand-pup, Luna.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Oglesby.

She will be missed by all that knew her and never forgotten while she rests in our Lord's hands.

In lieu of flowers, Lynn would prefer donations be made to Saving Grace Animals for Adoption, NC; 13400 Old Creedmoor Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587, in honor of her beloved pets, Roxie and Paisley.
