Margaret Goodwin

WILSON - Margaret Dixon Abbitt Goodwin, 91, died Tuesday, August 2, 2005. 

She was the widow of Dr. Cleon W. Goodwin, and was an active member of First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Colonial Dames and Daughters of the American Revolution. She made her debut in 1929. She attended ACC (now Barton College) and graduated from Woman's College, Greensboro. She was honored that she could live next to her mother in married life, as they were best friends.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, 10:00 AM, Maplewood Cemetery, Section A. Visitation, Wednesday, 6-7 PM at Wilson Memorial Service.

Surviving are two sons, Harry A. Goodwin (Susan) of Wilson and Dr. Cleon W. Goodwin, Jr. (Susan) of Greeley, CO; grandchildren, Abbitt Goodwin (Elizabeth), Claire and Brian Goodwin; great-granddaughter, Jennings Goodwin.
