WILSON - Margaret Finch Preslar Slawson, 82, died Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Funeral, Friday, 11 AM, First Christian Church, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. She retired from the former First Union Bank with 40 years of service. A daughter of Arch and Mary Walston Finch, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Frances Bell Crockett, and husband, Charles F. Slawson. Surviving is a son, Bill Preslar of Wilson; step-daughter, Linda Burwell (Buck) of Raleigh; step-grandson, Aaron Slawson; sister, Jean Tyson of Wilson; nieces, Angela Tyson, Kathy Bass and Rebecca Bell; nephew, Will Tyson; several great nieces and nephews. The family will be at 1507 Lakeside Drive. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church, PO Box 2702, Wilson, NC 27894.
