WILSON - Mary Frances Uzzell Griffin, 93, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016.
Funeral, Saturday, 1:00 PM, First Baptist Church, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Interment will be for and at the convenience of the family.
She graduated from Woodard-Herring School of Nursing; retired from Atlantic Christian College (Barton) as director of Health Services after 30 years of service.
Surviving is her daughter, Frances Buck (Albert) of Wilson; sons, Robert Griffin of Wilson and Russ Griffin (Lois) of Forest, VA; grandchildren, Katherine Jackson (Robert), Matthew Buck, Blaine Griffin (Katie); great-grandchildren, Reid and Harper Jackson; brother, Gerald Uzzell of Goldsboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H. R. Griffin, in 1988; parents, Robert Lee and Jewel Mewborn Uzzell; sisters, Alice Mewborn, Josephine Harper, Ava Lucas, Esther Brown; brothers, Leslie, Roger, Dan, Bobby, Bryon and Harold Uzzell.
