Mary Webb

Mary (Mary Della) Summerlin Webb, 90, of Fountain, died peacefully on August 12, 2023, at her home.

She was born on September 22, 1932 in Edgecombe County to Hugh Summerlin and Leona Summerlin Hathaway.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who worked hard all her life. Her home was always a safe place to land for anyone who needed her, whether they were family or not. She used to say, "I try to treat people the way I want to be treated" and "What we going to do now Mrs. Mary", and she would smile or laugh everytime she would say it. She loved everyone, especially her family, she would light up when they walked through the door. She loved to hear them play music, sing and watch them dance.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Reddick Webb, a son Ricky Glenn Webb, daughter in law, Donna Kay Webb, brothers, Hugh Summerlin Jr and John Summerlin and sister Dorothy Carr.

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons and a daughter, James Ralph Webb (Sally) of Walstonburg, Janet Howard (Francz) of Southport, and Kenneth Roy Webb of Fountain; brothers, Jimmie Hathaway and Lewis Hathaway (Darlene); sisters, Ruby Webb and Margie Herring (Kenneth); grandchildren, Stacey Bridgers (Mike), Travis Howard (Leslie), Jeremy Howard, Troy Howard, Amanda Everette (Dwayne), Matthew Webb (Amber), Aaron Webb (Schia), and Mary Kaitlyn Boykin (Nathan); great-grandchildren, Michael, Christopher (Katlyn), Allison, Hannah, Julian, Ethan, Devon, Dylan, Declyn, Milee, Kyleigh, Gracelyn, Matthew Jacob, Briar, Kayde, Haisley and Hallie; four great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends welcome to come for her visitation Sunday August 13, 2023 at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr, Wilson, NC from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
