Mary Alice Oakey Pipkin, 76, of Wilson, died Monday, September 27, 2021.
Funeral, Thursday, 11:00 AM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by burial in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home, Wednesday, 6:30 – 8:00 PM.
Mary, nicknamed “baby gal” by her daddy at a young age, was truly one of a kind. She was a loving wife, mama, granny, sister, aunt and friend. Her life’s purpose and her greatest pride and joy was her family. Everyone who knew her, loved her. She was a joy to be around and could put a smile on anyone’s face, whether it was by sharing a sweet compliment to make someone feel good, or acting silly and dancing to make people laugh. Mary was truly one of a kind and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Alvis “Tom” Pipkin; daughter, Shannon Aycock (Richard) of Stantonsburg; sons, Ricky Harris and Michael Harris (Penny) of Wilson and Timothy Harris (Elizabeth) of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Justin Harris, Marybeth Harris, Regan Harris, Lauren Harris, Albert Harris, Rebecca Harris, Gabby Harris, Keala Harris, Alyssa Harris, Amberly Harris, Alyson Harris , Kelsey Aycock and Carter Aycock; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Owens of Tarboro, Helen Driver of Elm City, Nancy Webb (Phil) of Pinetops, Frances Pipkin (Thurman) of Elm City; brothers, Billy Oakey (Betty Lou) and James Oakey (Diane), all of Elm City.
