WILSON - Mavis Ferrell Bain, 93, died Monday, December 15, 2014.
Funeral, Thursday, 11 AM, Wilson Memorial Service. Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery. The visitation will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Thursday 10 - 11 AM.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Daniel Bain, Jr.; son; Timothy Ferrell Bain: parents, Lafayette and Cora Capps Ferrell; brother, L.F. Ferrell and Jarvis Ferrell; sisters, Flonnie Ferrell Lamm and Lillian Ferrell Barnes, Estelle Ferrell Whitehead and niece, Lois Hinton Fisichelli.
Mavis was retired from the Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf.
Mavis is survived by her sons, J. Dan Bain (Sally) of Thomasville, GA and Erick B. Bain (Carol) of Avon Lake, OH; grandchildren, Ginny, Laura and Erick "Rock" Bain; nieces, Jonelle Speight, Janie Vaughan, Beth Hinton Moore and Janice James and nephews, Fate Ferrell and James Ray Lamm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Nash United Methodist Church, PO Box 8298, Wilson, NC 27893-1298.
