Michael Pichey

Michael W. Pichey, 66, of Wilson, NC passed away unexpectedly on January 6, 2026.

He was born in Lockport, NY in 1959 to Roy and Betty Pichey.

Michael received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1981.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta; son, Sean; and daughter, Erin.

He met Loretta in Delray Beach, Florida in 1986. They had two beautiful children.

Michael had a career of public and private accounting before joining the German-based company SAIL as a logistics operations manager located in Wilson.

He will be remembered as a hard-working, devoted husband and father who had a strong passion and love for his family and pets, watching Notre Dame football, as well as cheering on the Buffalo Bills. Some other hobbies of his included going for walks, listening to Elvis Presley, James Taylor, and The Temptations. He loved watching old westerns among other classic films; one of his favorite films being The Wizard of Oz.

A  memorial service will be held for the immediate family.
