Mike Foster

Michael Leith “Mike” Foster, 73, of Wilson, died November 27, 2024.

A visitation will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Thursday, January 9, 2025, 4:30-6:00 PM. 

Mr. Foster was born August 14, 1951 in Rowan County to the late L.C. and Zelma Foster. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Foster.

He graduated from Fike High School in 1969. After serving his country in the US Air Force, he worked at Bridgestone/Firestone Corporation for 25 years before retiring. Mike enjoyed spending time with family and visiting nearby flea markets. Mike was a friend to all who knew him. 

Mr. Foster is survived by two sisters, Melda Walston (Bob) of Wilson and Sandra Bissette (Kenny) of Rocky Mount; many special nieces and nephews; children, Michael L. Foster, Jr. of Durham and Amy Taylor (Jimmy) of Wilson; grandchildren, Kristin Jacobson (Chad) of Broad Creek, Alyse Finch (Cody) of Wilson, and Calvin Taylor (Jennifer) of Nebraska; he left behind four great grandchildren that will miss their GPa; Pyper, Nora, Ryder, and Amelia.
