Nancy Narron

Nancy Corbin Narron, 86, of Wilson, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at Wilson Memorial Service on Tuesday, September 15 at 6:00 pm, followed by visitation. Interment will be Wednesday, 10:00 am at Evergreen Memorial Park.

Nancy was a devoted wife to her husband, Wayne, for 47 wonderful years, and a loving mother to her daughters, Jill, Donna, and Frankie, and an amazing grandmother and Gigi.

She is survived by her daughters Jill Watson (Jeff) of Wilson, Donna Jones (Michael) of Greenville, and Frankie Williams (Donald) of New London; grandchildren, Stacy Herring Bera (Scott), Christy Herring, Logan Jones, Spencer Jones, Ethan Williams (Chloe), and Eli Williams; great-grandson Bradley Mason Bera.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Narron; parents, Hubert Andrew Corbin and Sarah Lee Davis Corbin; step-mother, Charlotte Byrd Corbin; sisters, Atha Bledsoe and Sarah Langley; brothers, Joseph Duke, Emory Corbin, and Hubert Corbin.

In her younger years, she took care of others as a nurse before having children and devoting herself to motherhood. She and Wayne loved traveling together and simply enjoying life. After his passing in 2010, she continued that love of adventure by going on cruises and attending concerts for her favorite country music group Alabama. One of her most treasured memories was a trip to Fort Payne, Alabama, where Randy Owen called her on stage and sang “Feels So Right” to her.

More than anything, she will be remembered for the incredibly sweet and gentle soul she was. She never raised her voice, held a grudge, or had an unkind word for anyone. To know her was to love her, and so many have simply described her as “the sweetest soul.” We find comfort knowing she is now in Heaven, reunited and celebrating with Wayne and all her siblings.

Our family would also like to express our deepest gratitude to her caregivers, Lucia Burt and Michelle Winstead, who cared for and loved Mom as if she were their own; and to her beloved friend, Denna Glover, whose many visits, friendship, and love meant so much to Mom and to our family. She was deeply loved, and her gentle spirit will live on through all of us who were blessed to know her.
