Nick Rogers

Sims - James Nicholson “Nick” Rogers, 79, of the Rock Ridge Community, died Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

Funeral, Nobles Chapel Baptist Church, Tuesday, 11:00 am, conducted by Rev Mike Boone. The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Monday, 6:00 – 7:30.

Nick served in the Army in Vietnam, was an avid Duke sports fan, Tony Stewart race fan, member of the Wilson Moose Lodge for over 50 years and a loving PaPa.

Surviving is his wife, Dianna Whitley Rogers; daughter, Nicole R. Weeks (Daryl) of the home; sons, Robert Barnes (Meg) of Hampstead and Brad Rogers of Saint Augustine, FL; grandchildren, Cameron and Ava Barnes, Gretchen and Ellas Weeks; sister, Kathy Jernigan (Terry) of Bailey. 

Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Raleigh and Mae Wheeler Rogers of Greene County, and brother, Charles Rogers. 

A note of sincere thanks is extended to Rene Brown, Karen Barnes, and the several EC Medical Teams who cared for him.
