MOREHEAD CITY - Orville Wright "O.W." Raper, Jr., 75, formerly of Sims in Wilson County and Kenly in Johnston County, died Monday, July 21, 2014,
in Raleigh at Rex Hospital.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, 11:30 AM, Nobles Chapel Baptist Church, 7330 Old Raleigh Rd, Sims, followed by a time of visitation.
Surviving is his wife, Peggy Winborne Raper; daughter, Kim Overby (Mack) of Davis; son, William Wright "Bill" Raper (Cheryl) of Morehead City; grandchildren, Rehm "Remi" Wright Raper, Kyle Overby, Brandon Overby; great-grandchildren, Bryson and Lellon Overby.
Memorials are suggested to Nobles Chapel Baptist Church, 7330 Old Raleigh Rd, Sims, NC 27880-9791.
The family will be at the home of Bill and Cheryl Raper, 115 Riverside Avenue, Morehead City, Thursday, July 24, 2014, 5 - 8 PM.
