Pat Barnes

Patricia “Pat” Brown Barnes of Wilson died Sunday, February 8, 2026 at Wilson Medical Center.

Pat was born August 22, 1940, in Wilson, NC to Jimmy and Thelma Speight Brown. After the death of her mother, Pat was raised at Falcon Children’s Home before returning to Wilson where she raised her family.

Pat is survived by her sons Lewis Speight and Jerry Speight (Tracie) as well as grandsons Jarrad Speight (Tori) and Jesse Speight.

She was preceded in death by her brother Bill Brown and sisters Jean Brown Cannon and Janet Dilda Overton.

A private family memorial service will be at a later time.
