Peggy Lucas

Peggy Moye Lucas, 80, of Wilson, died on Thursday, November 23, 2023.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 30^th, at Little Rock Original Free Will Baptist Church in Lucama. Family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.

Peggy was born January 2, 1943, in Greenville, NC, to the late Joseph Robert Moye and Beatrice Francis Oakley Moye. Upon graduating from Farmville High School, she went on to complete her license in Cosmetology. 

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James C. Lucas, Jr., and three brothers, J. R. Moye, Jr., Bobby Moye, and Jackie Moye.

Peggy is survived by her son, Glen Clark (Zorina) of King; daughter, Kimberly Brooks (Jonathan) of Pinehurst; her dear sister, Brenda Gay (Robert) of Clayton; five grandchildren, Savannah Clark Morgan (Grayson), Cameron Clark, Nolan Clark, Joshua Brooks, and Jackson Brooks.

In addition to being very proud of her children and grandchildren, she loved music, especially singing duets with her sister whenever the opportunity presented itself. She loved her church and continued to use her musical talents as a member of the church choir. She enjoyed decorating, drawing, Lifetime movies, shopping, and treasure hunting at flea markets and antique shops.

Peggy, we love you and will miss you.
