KENLY - Robert Edward Pittman, 62, of the Pinkney community, died Friday, November 20, 2015.
Funeral, Tuesday, 2 PM, Wilson Memorial Service. Interment, Kenly Cemetery. The visitation will be at the funeral home, Monday, 6:30 - 8 PM.
He was an active member of Union Grove FWB Church and was a Gideon. Robert worked for 35 years in the poultry industry with ConAgra and Pilgrim's Pride. He was a graduate of UNC Wilmington, an avid outdoorsman, and was a member of the UNC Rams Club and the NRA.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Kincheon Eldridge and Elizabeth Askew Pittman.
He is survived by his sons, Justin Pittman (Leah) of Kenansville and Cole Pittman of Nashville, TN; step-daughter, Juli Robinson of Elkmont, AL; step-grandchild, Kennedy Slaton; sisters, Jane P. Thomas (Bruce) of Pikeville and Linda P. Bunn of Alexandria, VA and brother, Kay E. Pittman of Williamston.
