Ruth Jernigan

Ruth Williamson Jernigan, 83, of Fremont, died Sunday, October 6, 2019.

Funeral, Thursday, 1:00 PM, Wayne Memorial Park, Goldsboro.  The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr, Wilson, Wednesday, 6:30 – 7:30 PM.

She was a federal tobacco grader and enjoyed the outdoors in gardening and it was said ‘she had a green thumb’.  A love for the beach was a positive trait for her.

She is survived by her sons, Rev. Merrill Davis (Marlyn) of Stantonsburg and Mickey Davis (Cindy) of Pikeville;_16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Velma Lancaster of Fremont, Darlene Bumgarner of Wilson; brothers, Clayton Williamson and Harold Williamson of Fremont and G.C. Williamson of Kenly.

Ruth was preceded in death by her sons, Richard and Alan Davis; parents, George Thomas and Nola Mae Evans Williamson of Fremont; sisters, Ola Johnson, Sylvia Hess and Joan Joyner.
