WILSON - Samuel Wilson Askew, 91, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009. He was retired from Wilson &: Co with 42 years of service followed by 25 years with White's Tire Service. In World War II, he served in the Army and was a long time member of First Baptist Church. Funeral, Sunday, 3 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Surviving is his wife, Ruth Pope Askew: daughter, Ann O'Connell (Ken) of Charlotte: son, Phil Askew (Lynn) of Wilson: grandchildren, Kathy and Chris O'Connell, Emily Askew and her husband, Scott Lovett. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church, PO Box 1467, Wilson, NC 27894. of Charlotte; son, Phil Askew
