Sarah Tomlinson

Sarah Barnes Tomlinson, 100, of Black Creek, died Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

The funeral will be Sunday, 2:00 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by a time of visiting and sharing.  Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park, beside her husband, J. Sidney Tomlinson, Jr, who died in 2003.

Surviving are her sons, Sid Tomlinson III (Patsy) of Black Creek and Charles Tomlinson (Shelia) of Raleigh; grandchildren, James Curry (Whitney), Jenny Ross (Casey), Amy Phillips (John) and Elizabeth Everette (Chris); six great-grandchildren; sister, Jean B. Simpson of Lucama.

Mrs. Tomlinson was a dedicated public school educator and active in the Black Creek Historical Society for as long as her health permitted.
