WILSON - Shirley Overman Burnette, 80, died Monday, September 5, 2016
Funeral, Saturday, 2 PM, Wilson Memorial Service followed by visitation.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Burnette and parents, Preston and Alma Ferrell Overman. Shirley was a dedicated and compassionate nurse for over forty years, thirty seven of those years she worked with Dr. Tyson Jennette.
Shirley is survived by her sisters, Toni Brantley (Charles) of Stanhope, Pat Pierce of Rocky Mount and Wanda Overman (Carole) of Canada; nieces, Sheri Sammons and Katherine Shrock; nephews, William Sammons (Gigi) and Brooks Pierce (Kim) and several great nieces.
