Greenville - Spencer Hayes, 41, died Saturday, September 18, 2010. Funeral, Thursday, 1 PM, Forest Hills Baptist Church, 1407 Forest Hills Rd NW, Wilson. Interment, Eureka Cemetery, Eureka. He was a probation officer for the State of North Carolina and a son of Barbara Davis Hayes Herring of Wilson and the late Bennie Hayes, Jr. Surviving is his wife, Dana Watkins Hayes; daughter, Haley Lewis of Greenville; his mother; sister, Kimberly H. Cherry (Trey) of Wilson; brother, Scott Hayes (Sonja) of Wilson; half-brother, Jeff Godwin of Wilson; nephews, Eric Hayes and Brenner Cobb. The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Dr N, Wilson, Wednesday, 7-8:30 PM. Memorials are suggested to the Wilson County Law Enforcement Assn, Shop-With-A-Cop, PO Box 1666, Wilson NC 27894 or to the charity of one's choice.
