Susan Ione Pierce, 72, of Wilson, passed peacefully into the presence of her God and Savior Tuesday, May 20, 2025.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at Peace Church Saturday, May 31, at 1:00 PM followed by visitation.

Susan was an accomplished musician from an early age and a great softball player with Peace Church as a young adult. She was a 50-year veteran of the automobile dealership service department having worked at multiple dealerships in the area. The last 17 years she was an award-winning service writer at Davenport Auto Park in Rocky Mount.

She is survived by her brothers Ralph I. Pierce, Jr. (Therese) and William Mercer (Ernestine) of Wilson; nephews, Chris Deans (Alisha), Will Pope (Stephanie), and Tanner Pope (Meg); nieces, Chastity Jackson (Tim) and Denise Wilson; many great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and many, many cousins and friends, especially Howard “Pierce” James.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Helen Rivers Pierce, sister and brother-in-law, Linda Mercer Pope and husband, Bill and nephew, Patrick Wilson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Peace Church Youth Ministries, 2838 Tilghman Rd. N Wilson, NC 27896.
