Susie Mumford

Susie Mumford, 75, of Eureka, died Monday, May 12, 2025.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 16, at 8065 St. Mary’s Church Rd, Lucama, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A visitation will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Saturday, 6:00 – 8:00 PM. The funeral will be Sunday, 2:00 PM at Saratoga Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the Eureka Cemetery.

Sue is survived by her husband, Buddy Mumford; son, Allen Mumford (Ashley) of Eureka; granddaughter, Ileanna Mumford; grandsons, Nathan, Kolby and Corban Mumford; sister, Dorothy Mayo (Dennis) of Bailey; brothers, Tommy Newcomb (Peggy) of Rocky Mount and Brian Newcomb of Raleigh; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas and Ethel Mae Whitley Newcomb of Wilson County; brother, George Newcomb; nephews, Daniel Mayo and George Thomas Clay Newcomb.
