Tammie Gardner

Tammie Newsome Gardner, 56, of Wilson, passed away on June 26, 2026. 

She was born on August 5, 1969 in Wilson County, North Carolina, to Monroe and Kay Newsome.

Tammie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy was spending time with those she loved. She cherished every moment with her loved ones, filling their lives with love, laughter, and countless memories that will be treasured forever. Her infectious laugh could brighten any room and will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Otis, whose loyal companionship brought her great comfort and happiness.

She is survived by her sons, Jonathan Gardner (Lindsey) and Tyler Gardner; her beloved grandchildren, Talan, Peyton, Kinsley, Brody, Jase, and Jason; her brother, Mark Newsome (Hailey); and several cherished nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her kindness, love, and fun-loving spirit.

Tammie was preceded in death by her loving husband, James "Dickie" Gardner; her beloved grandson, Seth Gardner; and her parents, Lloyd Monroe Newsome and Kay Newsome Page.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Tammie is reunited with those who went before her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

The family will celebrate Tammie's life privately and appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
