WILSON - Thomas Eugene Whitfield, 81, died Tuesday, October 6, 2015.
Funeral, Thursday, 2 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by a time of visiting and sharing. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.
He was active in scouting for over 30 years and served in the NC National Guard for 28 years.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Bridgers Whitfield; daughter, Cynthia Whitfield Campbell of Wilson; son, Tony Eugene Whitfield (Ann) of Elm City; step-granddaughter, Suzi Lee of Zebulon; sister, Peggy Hope (Robert) of Asheboro and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to Forest Hills Baptist Church, 1407 Forest Hills Rd NW, Wilson, NC 27896-1576.
