WILSON - William Thomas "Tom" Nobles, 81, died February 2, 2014.
Funeral, Wednesday, 11 AM, First Baptist Church. Interment will be for and at the convenience of the family.
Tom was a long-time member of the Wilson Optimist Club where he loved to sell Christmas trees. East Carolina football was of great interest and pride to him and it was almost a whole family tradition. There was time for golf also in addition to his work within First Baptist. He had served in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Leonard Nobles; daughters, Sheree Pierce (Robin) of Greenville and Charlene Melton (Jay) of Rocky Mount; grandchildren; Sara and Joshua Melton, Jordan and Blake Pierce; sister-in-law, Doris Nobles of Winterville; nieces and nephews, Daphney Rhodes, Cathy Simpson, Charlie Nobles and Michael Nobles, all of Winterville.
The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Tuesday, 6-7:30 PM.
