Tommy Thompson

Iyrann Bernard “Tommy” Thompson, 90, of Stantonsburg, died Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

The visitation will be on Saturday, September 12, 2:00-3:00 PM at Wilson Memorial Service followed by a service at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Eureka Cemetery, Eureka.

Tommy retired from Estes Trucking and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

He is survived by his wife Hazel Bell Thompson; daughters, Gloria Boswell (Ricky) of Saratoga and Betsy Koonce (Victor) of Kinston; sons, Dale Thompson of Oak Island and Kelvin Thompson of the home; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister AdryAnn Swaney of Westville, IL.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mae Bubelis Thompson; sister, JoAnn Shapuras and brothers, John, Carl, and Faustyn Thompson.
