WILSON - Vernon D. Boykin, 91, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013.
Funeral, Thursday, 2 PM, Wilson Memorial Service, followed by visitation. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery.
He was the founder of Vernon D. Boykin Roofing and Sheet Metal and was a veteran of World War II. His wife, Margaret Anderson Boykin, died in November, 2009.
Surviving are his sons, Larry Boykin (Cindy) and Victor Boykin (Mary Anne) of Wilson; grandchildren, Victor Boykin, Jr (Vicki) of Wilson and Leigh Anne Perozeni (Phillip) of Goldsboro; great-grandchildren, Ashton and Collin Perozeni; sisters, Mildred Raper, Annie Mizzelle and Mavis Eudy all of Wendell.
