ROCKY MOUNT - Virgina West Batts, 87, of Rocky Mount and formerly of Wilson, died Thursday, July 9, 2009. Funeral, Sunday, 1:30 PM, Cedar Grove Cemetery, Elm City. Surviving is a son, Ben Batts of Wilson: granddaughter, Jennifer Batts of Manhattan, NY: mother of Jennifer, Melba B. Fulghum of Wilson sister, Mary Barnes of Lucama. The family will be at Wilson Memorial Service, 2811 Fieldstream Drive, Saturday, 7 - 8 PM. Memorials are suggested to Volunteers in Missions, First United Methodist Church, PO Box 1423, Wilson NC 27894.
