Whitley Boyd
October 4, 1931 — March 10, 2021
Whitley A. Boyd, Jr., 89, of Bailey, died Wednesday, March 10, 2021.
Funeral, Saturday, 1:00 PM at Wilson Memorial Service, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment, Bailey Cemetery. (Masks and social distancing encouraged.)
Mr. Boyd graduated from Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College), and is a US Coast Guard veteran. After retiring from Noland & Co., he ran his own upholstery shop.
Mr. Boyd is survived by his wife, Peggy Lamm Boyd; grandsons, Brandon Ray Mercer and Bradley Cole Mercer.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Mercer; parents, Whitley and Pauline Matthews Boyd.
Memorials are suggested to Bailey Baptist Church, 6646 Deans St, Bailey, NC 27807.
