Wiley Davis

Wiley Joe Davis, 84, of Elm City, died Sunday, October 12, 2025 surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Friday, October 17, 5:30 PM, followed by visitation.

Wiley was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He loved God and always loved to tell a story. He enjoyed nature and always tried to teach his kids and grandchildren about the birds and all God's creations. He worked hard all his life to provide for his family and tried to make them understand the values of hard work. He never met a stranger and could carry on a conversation with a rock. He and Brenda were married for 32 years after dating for five years and he always said she was the best thing that ever happened to him. He loved getting together with all the family and enjoyed sitting on the deck at river watching the birds. He thanked God for all his many blessings every day. He will be deeply, deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Webb Davis; daughters, JoEllen SanCartier (Michael) of Raleigh and Lara Radford (Les) of Youngsville; sons, Wiley Davis, Jr. of Raleigh, Alan Walston of Palmetto, FL, and Lee Walston of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Audrey Broyles (Conor), Kyle Walston (Hayley), and Reed Walston; sister, LuAnn Davis of Roseboro; brother, Ron Davis (Cornelia) of Maggie Valley; daughter-in-law, Deanne Pender (Elbert) of Elm City. 

Wiley was preceded in death by his parents, Roney and Bertha Bailey Davis and a sister, Donna Faye Kennedy.
