WILSON - William J. "Bill" Taylor, Jr, 83, died Saturday, October 28, 2006. He was retired from Imperial Tobacco Company and the Wilson County Tax Department. He was veteran of World War II serving as a staff sergeant in the Army from 1943-1946 in Company B, 311 Medical Battalion of the 86th infantry "Black Hawk" Division. Graveside service, Tuesday, 11:00 AM, Evergreen Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Frankie Elliott. Surviving: wife, Betty Schlegel Taylor; daughter, Marie Young of Morganton; son, William J. Taylor, III of Oxford; grandchildren, Betsy Young and William Jordan Taylor, IV; sisters, Hazel Moore and Virginia Perry of Wilson and Doreatha Taylor of Raleigh;brothers, Ray Taylor of Raleigh and Jerome Taylor of Rocky Mount. The family would like extend a special thank you to the staff of Home Health & Hospice. Memorials are suggested to Home Health & Hospice, 2304 Wellington Drive, SW, Wilson NC 27893.
