Willie Griffin

William "Willie" Wallace Griffin, Sr, 90, died November 21, 2005. His death came on Monday evening at his residence with his family surrounding him. He had retired in 1980 from the US Postal Service with 36 years of service. A native of Edgecombe County, he was born to the late Larry B. and Mollie Pittman Griffin on February 25, 1915. Brothers Larry A. and George A. Griffin preceded him in death. The Funeral will be on Saturday, November 26, First Baptist Church, 2:00 PM, conducted by Dr. Douglas Murray, followed by visitation. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery, following the time of sharing. Surviving is his wife of 70 years
