WILSON - Wortley Harrell Herring , 85, died July 28, 2007. She was the widow of William Carter Billy Herring who died in 2004. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jewel Matthews and brothers, Forest, Stevie, Brode, Billy and Jiles Harrell. Wortley was born August 10, 1921, in Bertie County to the late Brode R. and Bertha Mizell Harrell. She graduated from Mars Hill High School in Colerain and Atlantic Christian College
