Obituary

Allen Craig Shaneyfelt, 72, of Wilson, died Sunday, May 1, 2022.

The visitation will be at Wilson Memorial Service, Wednesday, 6:00-7:30 PM.  Military burial rites will be Thursday, 12 Noon, at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Goldsboro.

He had retired from the U.S. Air Force with 22 years of service and had worked at Lowe’s and Bridgestone/Firestone.  Allen was a native of Saint Louis, MO.

Surviving is his wife, Lesley Gibson Shaneyfelt; daughters, Melanie Holzhauser (Danny) of Goldsboro, Diana Walker of Pikeville and Lindsay Shaneyfelt of Washington, NC; sons, Ryan Shaneyfelt of Utah and James Shaneyfelt (Sarah) of Elm City; grandchildren, Aaron, Morgan, Sebastian, Aidan, Maxwell, Scarlett and Holland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlie Richard and Mildred Marie Perkins Shaneyfelt; brother, Larry Bruce Shaneyfelt; sister, Cynthia S. Bastholm.
