Beatrice Moss

December 27, 1925 — November 10, 2019

Beatrice Olive Moss, 93, formerly of Wilson, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 in Atlanta.

A service will be held for and at the convenience of the family.

She was born in Apex (Olive Chapel) and grew up in the Apex area. She was a graduate of the Rex Hospital School of Nursing in Raleigh. The Moss family has lived in Wilson for many years, and been active in many community organizations and events.

Mrs. Moss was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Floyd Moss III; parents, Elvis and Pearl Goodwin Olive; sisters, Frances Olive Snyder Berkut and Jeanette Olive Elms; brother, James Olive.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne Beatrice Moss Wilkerson (Jack) of Atlanta, GA; son, Vernon Floyd Moss IV (Barbara) of Wilson; step-grandson, Eric Wilkerson (Kristi) of Austin, TX; step-granddaughter, Lauren Wilkerson Park (Michael) and step-great-grandsons, Drew Park and Connor Park of Atlanta; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank James Joyner of Wilson for his help and kindness to Mrs. Moss over the past 50 years. The family also wishes to thank the staff of Brighton Gardens of Dunwoody, GA, for their care and assistance over the past several years. Renika Jackson, Karan James, Diriba Kitessa and Michael Waweru, who were often dedicated to the care of Mrs. Moss, all became very special to Mrs. Moss, and the family thanks them for the love and friendship they developed with her.
