Inez Cherry

Inez Carraway Cherry, 97, of Wilson, died Friday, November 15, 2019.

Funeral, Tuesday, 10:00 AM, at Wilson Memorial Service, followed by visitation.  Interment, Pineview Cemetery, Rocky Mount.

Mrs. Cherry was preceded in death by her husband, John William “Bill” Cherry, Jr.; parents, Willie and May Matthews Carraway; sisters, Annie Lee Reid and Carolyn O’Neal; brothers, George Carraway and Elton Carraway.

She is survived by her daughter, Jill Conkwright of Arapahoe; son, J.W. “Jack” Cherry III (Jane) of Hendersonville; grandchildren, John W. Cherry IV of Granite Quarry, Julie C. Edge of Hendersonville and William Hughes Conkwright (Julie) of Arapahoe; great-grandchildren, Keegan and Nolan Edge of Hendersonville and Bishop Anderson Conkwright of Arapahoe; brother, Jesse K. Carraway of Wilson; sisters, Barbara Latta of Estero, FL, Eloise Johnson (Curtis) of Elm City and Jean Knight of Rocky Mount.
