Leroy Jones, Jr., 78, of Wilson, died Saturday, January 1, 2022.

Surviving are daughters, Susan Milligan (Mike) of Selma and Sharon Jackson (Tony) of the home; grandchildren, Christy McKeel, Brian Milligan, Krystal Cape and Kyle Harley Jackson; great-grandchildren, Reid, Logan and Scarlett McKeel; Mackenzie, Brooke and Grace Pearce; Trevor and Caleb Cape; Jax, Brayden and Alex Paul; step-great-granddaughter, Kaylee Lewis; mother of his children, Patricia Jones of Wilson; brother, Johnny Jones (Marty) of Wilson; best friend, Hyman Proctor of Wilson.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Sylvia Barber Jones in 2014; parents, Alton Leroy and Reatha Peaden Jones; step-daughter, Tonya Lewis; sister, Barbara Carter.
He had worked with Noland & Company as a counter salesman. He served in the Military (Vietnam) and Army National Guard and was a member of the VFW. Leroy enjoyed Nascar racing and was a flagman part-time at County Line Raceway in Wilson.
