Pennettie Manning

Pennettie Wiggs Manning, 85, of Middlesex, died Thursday, September 3, 2020.

Funeral, Tuesday, 11:00 AM, Bailey Cemetery [masks are encouraged].

Mrs. Manning was an ordained minister with a bachelor’s degree in biblical theology and a master’s degree in religious arts and Christian counseling.  She attended the Christ for the Nations Bible College, in Dallas, Texas. A missionary for several tours in the Dominican Republic, she also had a prison ministry for men and women. Visiting the sick and disabled in rest homes was important to her and when time permitted, she was a volunteer for the Red Cross.  Time was spent as a federal government employee.

Surviving is her husband, James “Jim” Manning; sons, Brett Bissette (Angela) of Wilson and Dale Bissette (Kathy) of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Kim Manning of Raleigh; grandchildren, Amanda, Rachel (Nick) and Aaron (Rionna); great-grandchild, Charlotte; brother, Everette Wiggs (Peggy) of Middlesex; devoted companion, "Buffy".

Mrs. Manning was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Calvin and Rachel Everette Murray Wiggs of Nash County; brothers, Pastor Gerald Wiggs and James Wiggs.

A thank you is extended to home health personnel Brittany, Diane, Kathy and Christie for their hospice care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Love Revolution Childrens Orphanage of the Dominican Republic, Faith Harvest Church, 4737, Willeva Drive, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
