Nancy Mason

Nancy Ireland Mason, 81, of Wilson, died Thursday, April 15, 2021.

Funeral, Saturday, 11:00 AM at Wilson Memorial Service on the lawn. Bring a lawn chair, and masks are encouraged.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Carter (David) of New Bern; sons, Terry Beacham (Donna) and Vernon Mason, Jr. (Andy) of Wilson; grandchildren, Brittany Beacham, Wolfgang Beacham (Victoria), Graham Carter (Blair); great-grandchildren, Alonna Beacham, Zoe Beacham, Cade Carter and Talon Beacham; sisters, Shelby Bordeaux of New Bern and Emma Jane Hart of Bridgeton.

Nancy, better known as Nana, was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the founder of Wee School. She was a lover of Elvis, beach music (The Embers) and shagging, and was the Bee Bop Queen in high school. Nancy was a fashionista and loved shopping, especially at Belk’s. She was sure to greet you with a warm smile and “hey darlin” all while being the life of the party and a best friend to many.
